Wonderwoman

Life... how do I say this... so many of us have our own take on it based upon our own narrow & selfish vision.

We all are brought forth into existence through our parents. The body given to us is a carrier for the soul to undertake a miraculous journey of self discovery, growth and feeling love.

Of late, there have been a plethora of movies with superheroes doing dare devil stunts with honourable and not so honourable intentions. They have different abilities from the majority average population and have chosen to focus on their strengths and use it in the way they deem fit.

But that’s in the movies... Today I had a glimpse of such a super hero too. Deformed due to a medical emergency during her birth, this girl is very different from the other kids. She has every right to be angry at the hand she has been dealt with. She came to me for a reason not related to her problems ( I wonder if she even felt she had a problem). She was there for a close relative.

Her innocent smile and sense of humour lit up my room. She was here for someone else.. a loved one. She was conscious of herself but so comfortable with it. She seemed to say – it’s ok to stare, but can we move on to the real issue.

most beautiful smile crack light

For some reason, the haunting words of Leonard Cohen's "Anthem" came to my mind:

“Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything

That's how the light gets in.”

Leonard Cohen Anthem There is a crack in everything

We all have our own little imperfections – it is for us to choose to consider them as a problem or an opportunity to discover our own inner strengths.

For some reason, after she left I sat heavy in my chair – it seemed to me, that today I was under therapy and she was inspiring me to discover my own wonder.

She showed me her power – today I met Wonderwoman & she was beautiful.

Thanks Doc...Lots of love & keep smiling.
